The sound of your life knows that nothing is lost-- nothing. Absolutely nothing is lost. The most devastating of things that have happened to you have brought you to this place. They give credibility and soundness to what you have been given to serve the world. What was once your weakness has become your strength. And the sound of your life helps you to see that.
Suzette R. Hinton
As a human being, I know of no greater example of success than someone who is self-sustaining through using his passion in the service of others.
Chris Matakas
You have been blessed to stand on the shoulders of giants. Make sure that someone stands on yours as well. This is the only way of human progress.
Chris Matakas
Give all your gifts away in service to the world. If you want to paint, don't wait for a grant, paint a wall in your town that looks drab and uninviting. You never know who is going to see that wall. Whatever it is you want to do, give it away in service to your community.
Marianne Williamson
Service is a selfless deed.
Lailah Gifty Akita
Another miraculous transformation is the shift from a sales mentality to a service mentality. When we're motivated by the desire to sell, we're only looking out for ourselves. When we're motivated by the desire to serve, we're looking out for others. Since in the realm of consciousness, we only get to keep what we give away, a service mentality is a far more abundant attitude.
Marianne Williamson
Life is service.
Lailah Gifty Akita
The aim and the result of faithful, fruitful, and fulfilling service is to make God famous.
Don Cousins
To serve the many, you first serve the few.
Ken Jennings
Are you serving others or your are being served by others?
Saji Ijiyemi
There are two ways each of us can approach life: spending our days meeting our needs or looking for ways to meet others' needs. The mystery is that when we spend our life focused on our own needs, we are never satisfied... but when we pour out our life and focus on how we can serve others... our deepest needs are met as well!
Eric Ludy
Use your special skills for the service of humanity.
Lailah Gifty Akita
A Serving Leader who creates a powerful churn of productivity needs a team that can put itself at the service of others.
John Stahl-Wert
If I were offering hip replacement services I'd use Jarod Kintz as my spokesman. No one can possibly be better than him, to replace the missing spoke in your wheels.
Will Advise
Are you serving in your local church or your are being served?
Saji Ijiyemi
What sets the market price for a product or a service? The demand
Matthew Donnelly
While we as people of God are certainly called to feed the hungry and clothe the naked, that whole "we're blessed to be a blessing" thing can still be kind of dangerous. It can be dangerous when we self-importantly place ourselves above the world, waiting to descend on those below so we can be the "blessing" they've been waiting for, like it or not.
Nadia Bolz-Weber
The grace of service is the spirit of belonging.
Lailah Gifty Akita
That amount of time is to be converted into some products, benefits, goods, services, welfare, ministry, but most of us actually truncate this amount of wealth on daily basis.
Sunday Adelaja
Work is a form of service to God.
Sunday Adelaja
I looked harder at Matthew 25 and realized that if Jesus said "I was hungry and you fed me," then Christ's presence is not embodied in those who feed the hungry (as important as that work is), but Christ's presence is in the hungry being fed. Christ comes not in the form of those who visit the imprisoned but in the imprisoned being cared for. And to be clear, Christ does not come to us as the poor and hungry. Because, as anyone for whom the poor are not an abstraction but actual flesh-and-blood people knows, the poor and hungry and imprisoned are not a romantic special class of Christlike people. And those who meet their needs are not a romantic special class of Christlike people. We all are equally as sinful and saintly as the other. No, Christ comes to us in the needs of the poor and hungry, needs that are met by another so that the gleaming redemption of God might be known. ... No one gets to play Jesus. But we do get to experience Jesus in that holy place where we meet others' needs and have our own needs met.
Nadia Bolz-Weber
Help others find their way, their own values, and guide them through life’s ups and downs.
Hyrum W. Smith
From this distance of forgetting and reclaiming, I had moremercy on myself. I had poured my heart into serving. I could seenow what I had been blind to then, that the One treasured my service, regardless of human measures of success. (Linette)
Sharon Hinck
The greatest effects we have on the world are the ones we can never see.
Chris Matakas
Choose food, clothing, and shelter that accords with nature.Rely on your own body for transportation. Allow your work and your recreation to be one and the same. Do exercise that develops your whole being and not just your body. Listen to music that bridges the three spheres of your being. Choose leaders for their virtue rather than their wealth or power. Serve others and cultivate yourself simultaneously. Understand that true growth comes from meeting and solving problems of life in a way that is harmonizing to yourself and to others. If you can follow these simple old ways, you will be continually renewed.
Lao Tzu
It is not blindly pushing your own agenda that will really create rich opportunities in your life, career, business – and in the world. It’s is your ability to understand, appreciate, anticipate, address, add value to that of others that will.
Rasheed Ogunlaru
A sworn sworn owes his liege our service and obedience, but this is madness.
George R.R. Martin
Choose to deliver amazing service to your customers. You'll stand out because they don't get it anywhere else.
Kevin Stirtz
You cannot serve people by giving them orders as to what to do. The real servant of the people must live among them, think with them, feel for them, and die for them...The servant of the people, unlike the leader, is not on a high horse trying to carry the people to some designated point to which he would like to go for his own advantage. The servant of the people is down among them, living as they live, doing what they do and enjoying what they enjoy. He may be a little better informed than some of the other members of the group; it may be that he as had some experience they have not had, but in spite of this advantage he should have more humility than those whom he serves.
Carter G. Woodson
I am acutely aware that all I have been able to achieve has been in large part due to circumstances outside my control. This is why I teach, and this is why I write. I want to be one of those opportunities for others. Perhaps this is the true measure of success.
Chris Matakas
Ellie tells me, often, some variation on this theme: that I am a little too invested in how I'm feeling about church and God, and perhaps not invested enough in how I am serving church, God, neighbor.
Lauren F. Winner
Christians could agree or argue about God as much as we wanted, but it was all essentially chatter. What bound that driver and me together was the obvious thing, so plain and dumb between us we could almost ignore it: the rough wooden pallet of onions that organized our days. Feed the hungry, heal the sick, visit prisoners. We fed people.
Sara Miles
There is one kind of charity common enough among us… It is that patchwork philanthropy which clothes the ragged, feeds the poor, and heals the sick. I am far from decrying the noble spirit which seeks to help a poor or suffering fellow being… [However] what advances a nation or a community is not so much to prop up its weakest and most helpless members, but to lift up the best and the most gifted, so as to make them of the greatest service to the country.
Jamsetji Tata
Alles ist Service und ohne Service ist Alles nichts.
Carsten K. Rath
Service Excellence eats discount and rebate for breakfast.
Carsten K. Rath
Try this: Be What or Who You feel/think is missing from your 'world'. Then You wouldn't have to exhaust You in searching for something or someone. You'd be so indulged in finding You inside You and be so fulfilled in being You to You and everyone else. The catch: What is missing from You is definitely missing from many outside You
Ufuoma Apoki
Leaders always look twice – because sometimes it is good from far but far from good – at a second look.
Carsten K. Rath
Perception is reality.
Carsten K. Rath
The word everyone forgets is 'serve'...Yes. Serve. This is the service, and we soldiers are servants. Sure, when people think of a soldier, they think of soldiers taking. They think of us taking territory, taking the enemy, taking the city or a country, taking treasure, or blood. This grand, abstract idea of 'taking,' as if we were pirates, swaggering and brandishing our weapons, bullying and intimidating people. But a solider, a true soldier, I think, does not take. A soldier gives.
Robert Jackson Bennett
We cannot expect to lift others unless we stand on higher ground ourselves.
Gordon B. Hinckley
What’s secretly in the water of modern culture is that people enter the world empty. That’s a very dangerous idea, because if everybody’s empty than other people can get us to do whatever they want because there’s nothing in us to stand against it. But if we came to do something that’s meaningful, that involves giving and making the world a more beautiful, healthy, lively place, then you become a difficult person to move around and manipulate.
Michael Meade
A soldier serves not to take, they don't strive to have something, but rather they strive so that others might one day have something. And a blade isn't a happy friend to a soldier, but a burden, a heavy one, to be used scrupulously and carefully. A good soldier does everything they can so they do not have to kill. That's what training is for. But if we have to, we will. And when we do that we give up some part of ourselves, as we're asked to do.
Robert Jackson Bennett
If it has to be done, it must be best done.
Lailah Gifty Akita
Their willingness to help others is arguably the single most important trait that defines them as Newfoundlanders. Today, it is an identity they cling to, in part, because it is something that cannot be taken away from them.
Jim DeFede
Service is the overflow which pours from a life filled with love and devotion.
Oswald Chambers
Impression without expression causes depression. Study without service leads to spiritual stagnation.
Rick Warren
It is one thing to follow God's way of service if you are regarded as a hero, but quite another thing if the road marked out for you by God requires becoming a 'doormat' under other people's feet.
Oswald Chambers
Are you ready to be less than a mere drop in the bucket--to be so totally insignificant that no one remembers you even if they think of those you served? Are you willing to give and be poured out until you are used up and exhausted--not seeking to be ministered to, but to minister?
Oswald Chambers
Some saints cannot do menial work while maintaining a saintly attitude because they feel such service is beneath their dignity.
Oswald Chambers
You are accountable for your own victory or misery
ETC Wanyanwu
It’s a sheer-madness for a father not to see his son greater than him

Service is more important than self-gain.
Sunday Adelaja
The mass-man would never have accepted authority external to himself had not his surroundings violently forced him to do so. As to-day, his surroundings do not so force him, the everlasting mass-man, true to his character, ceases to appeal to other authority and feels himself lord of his own existence. On the contrary the select man, the excellent man is urged, by interior necessity, to appeal from himself to some standard beyond himself, superior to himself, whose service he freely accepts...Contrary to what is usually thought, it is the man of excellence, and not the common man who lives in essential servitude. Life has no savour for him unless he makes it consist in service to something transcendental. Hence he does not look upon the necessity of serving as an oppression. When, by chance, such necessity is lacking, he grows restless and invents some new standard, more difficult, more exigent, with which to coerce himself. This is life lived as a discipline — the noble life.
José Ortega y Gasset
Those who do not have will always serve those who do.
Jacob Tomsky
The service [Jesus] gave to humanity was given even when we least merited that sacrifice. There is a joy in service that transcends emotional temporariness.
Ravi Zacharias
Happy to be here, proud to serve.
Keith Allan Moore
...joy we find when we realize God's deep desire to partner with everyday, normal people using their talents to do good.

Daniel C. Felsted
God created you to be useful for a mighty purpose. He wants you to be the light and the salt of the world. It is in your DNA to be a champion, a winner, a conqueror and a light-bearer. You were born to rule, to soar high like the eagle and be energetic like a young lion. He has deposited you on earth to be a solution, a problem solver and a service provider.
