Words are great, but actions speak louder!
Marcie Beigel
We wonder why we get credits only to be indebted
Goitsemang Mvula
Education at a deep level means to ‘lead out’ what is trying to be born from within. The job of a true teacher is to help awaken the inner pupil that has its own way of being and unique way of perceiving the world.
Michael Meade
It's a most serious mistake to think that learning is an activity separate from the rest of life, that people do it best when they are not doing anything else and best of all in places where nothing else is done. p.278
John Holt
The one great art is that of making a complete human being of oneself.
G.I. Gurdjieff
Punctuation was, it is sad to say, invented a very long time ago. Even more frustrating, it has remained with us ever since.
Anne Elizabeth Moore
Scientists are aware that all the lab-rat tests in the world, once compiled, can tell us only how lab rats act when tested, and that is how we must begin to view school: all that you can learn in a school classroom is what goes on inside a school classroom.
Anne Elizabeth Moore
We are all born extraordinary! shape your today to cherish your tomorrow
Kamal Khanzada
Whoever trains the children controls the future. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and a society will only ever be as strong as the families in it.
Anna Sofia Botkin
We are born, we get names, we get educated, we get values, we get job and money. But all this is not life, life is love found in friendship, friendship found in love and in love, sacrifice.” Vijay
Shaikh Ashraf
A calamity can horrify an individual who is obsessed about life destruction and that particular individual could not indulge the beauty of living for the rest of his or her natural life.
Saaif Alam
As Lenin put it, "Through the schools we will transform the old world... the final victory will belong to the schools... the final sketch plan of the socialist society will belong to the schools." So the Frankfurt School targeted and took control of the teachers' colleges in order to control what was being taught to children....young teachers are forced to go through possibly the most rigorous courses of indoctrination available in any universities.
Anna Sofia Botkin
These forays into the real world sharpened his view that scientists needed the widest possible education. He used to say, “How can you design for people if you don’t know history and psychology? You can’t. Because your mathematical formulas may be perfect, but the people will screw it up. And if that happens, it means you screwed it up.” He peppered his lectures with quotations from Plato, Chaka Zulu, Emerson, and Chang-tzu. But as a professor who was popular with his students—and who advocated general education—Thorne found himself swimming against the tide. The academic world was marching toward ever more specialized knowledge, expressed in ever more dense jargon. In this climate, being liked by your students was a sign of shallowness; and interest in real-world problems was proof of intellectual poverty and a distressing indifference to theory.
Michael Crichton
Everyone is an idiot, not just the people with low SAT scores. The only differences among us is that we're idiots about different things at different times. No matter how smart you are, you spend much of your day being an idiot.
Scott Adams
Childhood years are vital to our total existence. Overloading the child with too much memory oriented learning and formal writing can cripple a child’s sense of wonder. There should be creativity, a ‘Free Progress’ – each child developing and flowering in an absolutely spontaneous, inwardly centered and self directed process. A school makes a break through if it creates a learning environment but it is a parent to make an active choice for kids and to nurture their talents. It is in their hands to recognize their potentialities and offer them an Alternative Education, a commitment, hard work, responsibility, learning the basic skills of reading and writing at own pace with creativity and open minds in open surroundings in tune to environment, blooming naturally!
Ilaxi Patel
Growing up, I knew where the world ended. I could see it, at the horizon, where the sky touched the corn. My life was bounded and known. I *knew* the edges of the world. And then I went to college.
J. Michael Adams
A PhD does not automatically denote wisdom. Merely perseverance.
J. Michael Adams
People ugly from ignorance and broken from being poor.
Zora Neale Hurston
Spend a few hours every week studying American history, human nature, and economic theory. Start with “Economics in One Lesson.” Then try Keynes. Then Hayek. Then Marx. Then Hegel. Develop a worldview that you can articulate as well as defend. Test your theory with people who disagree with you. Debate. Argue. Adjust your philosophy as necessary.
Mike Rowe
For those of you who may be homeschooled: high school is that four-year asylum where they put teenagers because we have no idea what else to do with them.
Anthony M. Esolen
A great sense of commitment builds a hardworking spirit.
Wayne Chirisa
I don't know which is worse—to have a bad teacher or no teacher at all. In any case, I believe the teacher's work should be largely negative. He can't put the gift into you, but if he finds it there, he can try to keep it from going in an obviously wrong direction. We can learn how not to write, but this is a discipline that does not simply concern writing itself but concerns the whole intellectual life. A mind cleared of false emotion and false sentiment and egocentricity is going to have at least those roadblocks removed from its path. If you don't think cheaply, then there at least won't be the quality of cheapness in your writing, even though you may not be able to write well. The teacher can try to weed out what is positively bad, and this should be the aim of the whole college. Any discipline can help your writing: logic, mathematics, theology, and of course and particularly drawing. Anything that helps you to see, anything that makes you look. The writer should never be ashamed of staring. There is nothing that doesn't require his attention.
Flannery O'Connor
It is our responsibility to discover our talents, to accept them as from God, to develop them through education and training, and to use them for His glory.
J. Grant Howard
At his funeral the priest's words applied signally to him: 'The Christian Brothers are a body of men who live without luxury, labour without emolument, and die without notice, that they might stamp God's image on the soul of youth. That surely is a splendid vocation.
Edmund Campion
Tuition is to studies and training is to job, but the gradation never stops (on Appraisal)
Sachin Kodagali
Raise your children with right values and education. You may end up living frugal but you will die rich else you will live rich but die poor.
Aditya Ajmera
Arleen thanked Pana. Getting off the phone, she thanked Jesus. She smiled. When she smiled she looked like a different person. The press had loosened its grip. From landlords, she had heard eighty-nine nos but one yes. Jori accepted his mother’s high five. He and his brother would have to switch schools. Jori didn’t care. He switched schools all the time. Between seventh and eighth grades, he had attended five different schools—when he went at all. At the domestic-violence shelter alone, Jori had racked up seventeen consecutive absences. Arleen saw school as a higher-order need, something to worry about after she found a house.
Matthew Desmond
Education is meant to increase the confidence of a person to face the world.
Sachin Kodagali
Education without discipline and integrity is a wasteA man who acquires school certificates but lacks self discipline and integrity is not educated.
OMOSOHWOFA CASEY
Many contemporary critics of higher education similarly posit a Golden Age but no one knows when it was supposed to exist.
Mark C. Carnes
There is a skill to learning. It is all about what is and what is not. While Science is knowing what is, Art is creating what is not.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Study for Knowledge, not for marks. If you have the Knowledge, you will get the marks.
Khurshed Batliwala
Education gives you the ability to know it. Intelligence gives you the capacity to fix it. Wisdom lets you know when to do it.
Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr.
Never let your education interfere with your learning.
Mark Twain
Unfair prejudice can result people being living with fear and unfair treatment if it is based on physical appearance. Therefore, this conflict should be intervened seriously and violators of this act of hate crime should get punished and understand deeply about the significance of human existence, so they can get pressured to change and act morally.
Saaif Alam
Civilization is not inherited it has to be learned and earned by each generation anew…
Will Durant
Every once in a while you need to challenge yourself and learn new things.
Amit Ray
Most schooling is training for stupidity and conformity, and that's institutional, but occasionally you get a spark, somebody'll challenge your mind, make you think and so on, and that has a tremendous effect you just reach all sorts of people. Of course if you do it you may very have problems, you have to tread the narrow line. There are plenty of people who don't want students to think, they're afraid of the crisis of democracy. If people start thinking you get all these problems that I quoted before. They won't have enough humility to submit to a civil rule or they'll start trying to press their demands in the political arena and have ideas of their own, instead of beleiving what they're told. And privelage and power typically doesn't want that and so they react and the high school teacher that tries to get students to think may find oppression, firing and so on.
Noam Chomsky
The biological equipment of a man rigidly restricts the field in which he can serve.
Ludwig von Mises
If people institute wrong institutions, wrong institutions do not just produce wrong people, but wrong people who understand and accept mediocrity as an institution
Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
A genuine education must somehow serve the wings of spirit and imagination that each child brings to life.
Michael Meade
...it is very well worth while to be tormented for two or three years of one's life, for the sake of being able to read all the rest of it. Consider - if reading had not been taught, Mrs. Radcliffe would have written in vain - or perhaps might not have written at all.
Jane Austen
Unless there is some kind of spiritual revolution that can keep abreast of our technological genius, it is unlikely that we will save our planet. A purely rational education will not suffice.
Karen Armstrong
To be or not to be: that is the question. That's from Hamlet's - maybe Shakespeare's - most famous soliloquy. I had to memorize the whole speech for sophomore English, and I can still remember every word. I didn't give it much thought back then. I just wanted to get all the words right and collect my A.
Gayle Forman
If Nigeria must advance, we have to steak to work. There is no success that is easy on every body though some success candidate may claim to have gotten there through an easy route. It isn’t always true and unfair to hear that. Minds need to be broken to assemble with others.
Prince Akwarandu
The best thing that can happen to anyone is for them to gain an education that is aligned to their purpose in life.
Oscar Bimpong
In our society, if someone wants to be a hairstylist or a kickboxer or a hunting guide -or a schoolteacher- he or she must be trained and licensed by a state agency. No such requirement is necessary for parenthood. Anyone with a set of reproductive organs is free to create a child, no questions asked, and raise them as they see fit, so long as there are no visible bruises- and then turn that child over to the school system so the teachers can work their magic. Maybe we are asking too much of the schools and too little of our parents and kids?.
Stephen D. Levitt Stephen J. Dubner
I am not a Books warm, but I like Books too much.
Aqeel Rafique
Everything has changed. . . except the way we think. The aim [of education] must be the training of independently acting and thinking individuals, who, however, see in the service of community their highest life problems
Albert Einstein
Continuing education is about continuing to grow. To never lose sight of bettering oneself and being able to realize that an idea they had so long ago was obtainable. Age does not determine education. Education does not stop at a certain age. Education stops when we lack desire to learn and improve ourselves.
Levon Peter Poe

Saaif Alam

Farshad Asl

Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
I read. The more you read, the more the world opens up to you... and the happier you are and more comforted you feel. It's up to you. No you is educated who cannot educate himself.

If you could arrange to avoid that routine job-world, you were an intellectual or an artist. Too restless, tremorous, agitated, too mad to sit at a desk eight hours a day, you needed an institution - a higher institution.
Saul Bellow
So it is our request that you try to study Bhagavad-gītā as it is. Don't try to distort it by your so-called education. Try to understand Kṛiṣṇa as He is saying. Then you will be benefited. Your life will be successful.
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda
