People don't have dominion over Nature. it's gone beyond that. Human beings and the world are now the same thing. The future and whatever happens to you after you die - it's all melted together. Death isn't the escape hatch the way it used to be.
Douglas Coupland
All things can be deadly to us, even the things made to serve us; as in nature walls can kill us, and stairs can kill us, if we do not walk circumspectly.
Blaise Pascal
Just as a well-filled day brings blessed sleep, so a well-employed life brings a blessed death
Leonardo da Vinci
To confront death every day, to see it yourself, you have to love the living.
Judy Melinek
Partially undermining the manufacturer's ability to assert that its work constituted a meaningful contribution to mankind was the frivolous way in which it went about marketing its products. Grief was the only rational response to the news that an employee had spent three months devising a supermarket promotion based on an offer of free stickers of cartoon characters called the Fimbles. Why had the grown-ups so churlishly abdicated their responsibilities? Were there not more important ambitions to be met before Death showed himself on the horizon in his hooded black cloak, his scythe slung over his shoulder?
Alain de Botton
More commonly suffering breaks people, crushes them, and is simply unilluminating. You see how gruesomely human beings are destroyed by pain, when they have the added torment of losing their humanity first, so that their death is a total defeat...
Saul Bellow
The human race will last. Everywhere and forever, for it will never be sane and only insanity is divine. Only the mad destroy themselves and all they have wrought. And only the phoenix lives forever.
Fredric Brown
Humans are organisms, subject to physical laws, including alas, the one that says entropy always increases. Diseases are molecules misbehaving; the basic requirement of life is metabolism, and death its cessation.
Paul Kalanithi
Guns don't kill people. People kill people.''But guns make it so much easier. Shall we go?
Jonathan L. Howard
Worry notif you are in darknessand the void sucks you in further. This is not the place we go to die. It’s where we are bornand our stories begin.
Kamand Kojouri
Unsustainable energy consumption has humanity locked into a death spiral with nature.
Steven Magee
I'd never felt more human than I did when my mother lay in bed, dying. This was not the frailty of a man who is said to be "only human," subject to a weakness or a vulnerability. This was a wave of sadness and loss that made me understand that I was a man expanded by grief.
Don DeLillo
Life is a lie. We should fear it more than death. We live fearful of dying, terrified of the unknown … when, really, every truth is in our last breath.
Piper Payne
Death is the final destiny of the human race.
Lailah Gifty Akita
History, memory - that is what makes us human, that, and our knowledge of death: 'by man came death'. For knowledge of death makes us wish to extend our lives at the expense of others. And this is the root of the struggle for power.
Saul Bellow
We can lose money, But the loss of human life is loss forever.
Lailah Gifty Akita
To have thought that, with the right tests and the right lectures, I could be made into a cold-blooded, heartless killer. To have thought that I could ignore the beating of my own heart long enough to stop the beating of another's.
Jessica Khoury
Perhaps it's impolite to die so flippantly, after all she's done for me.
Richard Smyth
Respect is reverence out of love, Fear is reverence out of hate.Choose Wisely
Abhysheq Shukla
Stop explaining to others, people will only understand from their level of discernment.
Abhysheq Shukla
Fear is the most prodigious enemy of our soul
Abhysheq Shukla
The heavy warlike losses of the AIDS years were relegated to queer studies classrooms, taught as gay history and not American history.
Alysia Abbott
On coming out of the chapel, a well can be seen on the left. There are two in this yard. You ask, Why is there no bucket and no pulley to this one? Because no water is drawn from it now. Why is no more water drawn from it? Because it is full of skeletons.
Victor Hugo
O, worldly pomp, how despicable you are when one considers that you are empty and fleeting ! You are justly compared to watery bubbles, one moment all swollen up, then suddenly reduced to nothing.
Ordericus Vitalis
Milkshakes make the world seem less shitty.
Shaun David Hutchinson
History is just a way of keeping score, but it doesn't have to be who we are.
Shaun David Hutchinson

Bonding over illegal drugs hadn't magically solved our problems,

The tallest slugger touched my forehead, and I ignited like a sparkler on the Fourth of July. Shards of dazzling light rippled under my skin. I was the constellation Grus. The Trifid Nebula. I was the Big Bang, expanding endlessly through time and space forever."I thought I was dying. That I was going to expire on a cold slab, trapped inside an UFO, my body filled with every light that had ever existed. I couldn't imagine a better way to die.
Shaun David Hutchinson
Just the perfect peace of nothingness. That's what I believed.
Shaun David Hutchinson
Nothing shines up a halo faster than death Matthew. But funerals are for the living... and revising history... only dilutes the lessons we should learn from it.
Father Lantom
And might it not be, continued Austerlitz, that we also have appointments to keep in the past, in what has gone before and is for the most part extinguished, and must go there in search of places and people who have some connection with us on the far side of time, so to speak?
W.G. Sebald
Before we're born we've all of us been dead for millions of years...but we're always afraid of going back...
Leonardo Donofrio
When it happens and it hits hard, we decide certain things, and realize there's truth in all those dark, lonely days" He had an instantaneous look about him,a glimmer and a glint over those eyes,he knew how the world worked, and took pleasure in its wickedness. He would give a dime or two to those sitting on the street,he would tell them things like:"It won't get any better,"and"Might as well use this to buy your next fix,"and finally"It's better to die high than to live sober,"His suit was pressed nicely, with care and respect, like the kind a corpse wears,he'd say that was his way of honoring the dead,of always being ready for the oncoming train,I liked him,he never wore a fake smileand he was always ready to tell a story about how andwhen"We all wake up alone," he said once,"Oftentimes even when sleeping next to someone, we wake up before them and they are still asleep and suddenly we are awake, and alone."I didn't see him for a few days,a few days later it felt like it'd been weeks, those weeks drifted apart from one another, like leaves on a pond's surface, and became like months. And then I saw him and I asked him where he'd been,he said,"I woke up alone one day, just like any other, and I decided I didn't like it anymore.
Dave Matthes
However much one lacks piety, the atmosphere in a graveyard encourages quiet reflection.
C.J. Sansom
England is always remaking herself, her cliffs eroding, her sandbanks drifting, springs bubbling up in dead ground. They regroup themselves while we sleep, the landscapes through which we move, and even the histories that trail us; the faces of the dead fade into other faces, as a spine of hills into the mist.
Hilary Mantel
I look out at the reservation, still and glittering with casinos, and think of all the death dried up and buried in its dirt.
Hannah Lillith Assadi
History may be just bones and ruins to you, but it is people, Janet. People loving, hurting, and dying.
Cindy Tomamichel
Now if a man thus favoured died as he has lived, he will be just the one you are looking for: the only sort of person who deserves to be called happy. But mark this: until he is dead, keep the word "happy" in reserve. Till then, he is not happy, but only lucky...
Herodotus
Are there moments when our brains are not exercising?” I questioned. “That would be almost like being brain dead...
Vann Chow
My love for you attains immortality whenever it is touched by the thought of death
Munia Khan
The present moment is all that ever is, and in each new moment we die and are reborn. For example, people block love and close off their hearts out of fear of being hurt again. If they lived in the present moment, there would be no fear and they would walk forward in life with confidence and certainty that there is the joy of new experiences to be had.
Alaric Hutchinson
The sacrifices we make to stay healthy, to look good, the tasty foods we skip, the guilt trips, the exercising - all these things require great discipline, care, and even a paradoxical, self-denying self-love of sorts in order to be properly executed. However it is regretful that so many of us today are not as passionate about our spiritual holiness as we are about our physical health. They are indeed both important - we should worship in every aspect of our lives - and one even, in a sense, entails the other. Although, this disproportion in said priorities is still very much expected: we humans have always taken a liking to trendiness and the temporal side of things, doing what is judged vainly in the eyes of man before that which is judged vitally and eternally in the eyes of God (i.e. "cleaning the outside of one's cup while leaving a filthy inside"). But in a way, it all goes to show that the man who fully hates discipline hates himself fully; for within the spirit is where The Holy One judges true wellness or malady.
Criss Jami
Sharpen your life always; even though it will come to an end like a pencil, we have to keep on writing
Munia Khan
Illusion (maya) makes one take birth, illusion makes one get married and illusion also makes one die. But here the condition is that it is not the reign of illusion. It is your own reign. It cannot happen unless you wish for it. Illusion gives the result (effect) of what you had consented to in your past life.
Dada Bhagwan
The beauty of death is that it is a constant reminder of the limited time we spend here in this unique life on Earth. It is the ongoing wakeup call that reminds us to be joyous, to laugh, to love, to be compassionate and grateful, and most of all – to forgive.
Alaric Hutchinson
Some things happen for a reason, Others just come with the season.
Ana Claudia Antunes
From personal experience, I know for sure that the number one thing that saddens the dead more than our grief — is not being conscious of their existence around us. They do want you to talk to them as if they were still in a physical body. They do want you to play their favorite music, keep their pictures out, and continue living as if they never went away. However, time and "corruption" have blurred the lines between the living and the dead, between man and Nature, and between the physical and the etheric. There was a time when man could communicate with animals, plants, the ether, and the dead. To do so requires one to access higher levels of consciousness, and this knowledge has been hidden from us. Why? Because then the plants would tell us how to cure ourselves. The animals would show us their feelings, and the dead would tell us that good acts do matter. In all, we would come to know that we are all one. And most importantly, we would be alerted of threats and opportunities, good and evil, truth vs. fiction. We would have eyes working for humanity from every angle, and this threatens "the corrupt". Secret societies exist to hide these truths, and to make sure lies are preserved from generation to generation.
Suzy Kassem
God has said not to create any accounts (karmic). Create accounts (only) if you have the knowledge of the future. Hey! If you want to start an account, then why don’t you account for the possibility that you may die tomorrow?
Dada Bhagwan
The moment one is born, the ‘saw starts cutting’. People consider it as death only when the wood breaks in two pieces [during funeral]. But it was being cut from the very beginning.
Dada Bhagwan
Books required no interchanges of thoughts and feelings, no trading of expectations, no traffic of words, no menace of real loss. Reading books required far less energy than reading people; the pages seldom disappointed him and they never died.
Dan Groat
Don’t you think it’s better to continue reading than to just close the book?
Rebecca McNutt
There is something of the ghoul in the page-swallower and of the novel-reader in the stroller through cemeteries.
Régis Debray
You can tell a lot about a person's priorities in life by reading their will.
Steven Magee
Well…it’s whether you want to face certain death by taking a risk on the other route or almost certain death by scaling the walls? she replied. “Therefore, for me, considering our options, it’s a no brainer.

Some things are meant to live and die with an artist
J.R. Stewart
This was a family that consumed attractive, talented people. Its aim was to preserve beauty and genius through the centuries. For all eternity. To bottle the spark of magic that flares up in the soul of an artist, to preserve in wax the pain that is born in the heart of an actor, to dry and store the subtle, shifting images that hover above the head of a writer.Madness. They didn't realize it was impossible. As the years pass by, feelings and emotions are blunted. And thousands of years of life kill all feelings. The soul becomes cold. It can't burn anymore. The farys took away from humans the one thing that I sought and valued in them most of all—their bright, vital feelings.
Lena Meydan
Try and make them understand that while artists can recycle their suffering in their art, I didn't know what to do with mine.
Viola Di Grado
