The person who wants to progress on the path of Vitrag (the enlightened ones), should keep the focus of the awareness to progress from the non-auspicious (bad) to the auspicious (good). And if one wants to go to final Liberation [moksha], he should keep ‘pure focus as the Self (Soul)’ (shuddha upayog). The person, who wants to go to Moksha, should not concern himself with the auspicious (good) or the inauspicious (bad). He should keep them both as the things to be cleared out.

Dharmadhyan (auspicious contemplation; to hurt no one, give happiness to others) is the indirect cause for moksh (liberation). The awareness that ‘I am the doer’ goes away and we give the understanding of ‘who the doer is’. Therefore, ‘charging’ (of karma) stops! What is left now? Only the ‘discharge’ is left.

Where the ‘charging’ (of karma) stops, there lies the symptoms (signs) of attaining moksha.

One’ is not a doer in this world. Where he believes that he is the doer, there is ‘charging’ (of karma). When one tastes egoistic pride of, “I did this samayik, I did these activities”, he will ‘charge’ (karma). The taste of egoistic pride is very sweet.

Anger-pride-deceit-greed are in the form of ‘discharge’. But if one does not have ‘knowledge of True Self’ (realization of the self), then he ‘charges’ new karmas within.

To run the worldly life, Egoism is not required. To bind [karma] for the next life, Egoism is required. If one doesn’t want the bondage for the next life, then also it is possible to conduct the worldly life without egoism. Entire worldly life is in the ‘discharge’ form. One is to cross this ocean in the form of obstinacy. We are standing on this side of obstinacy and we have to go to the other side.
